12 Month Extension to your RYA First Aid Certificate
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed many aspects of our lives in recent months. This short online 'video conference' course has been introduced by the RYA to ensure you can refresh your First Aid skills whilst the country is in lockdown. On completion of the course we'll send you a letter confirming your attendance and extending your RYA First Aid certificate by 12 months.

Use the form at the top of this page to book. After you've purchased your online course, we'll send you an email with full joining instructions. Please check your spam folder for this email.
Note, this course can only be used to update an RYA First Aid certificate.
- Primary survey of a casualty and care scene.
- Management of a casualty who is breathing normally
- Management of an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally, including the 2021 Resuscitation Council guidelines for CPR.
- Managing bleeding.
- Recognising and managing shock.
- Near drowning.
